The long wait is not a waste. The hype is not a facade. The hullabaloo is not hogwash.
For, the Boss has proved himself.
Yes! ‘Sivaji The Boss’ is simply stunning, splendid and superb! It surpasses all expectations. It wins over all hearts. It is fantastic, wonderful and admirable. Passions soar. Spirits run high. Breathtaking moments flash every now and then - Words indeed cannot describe the movie and its effect on you.
Ace performance coupled with an ace story – that is what makes Sivaji rock. From Shankar’s screenplay to Super Star’s supreme performance, everything in the movie carries the mark of brilliance. Punch dialogues, hilarious scenes and vigorous action sequences executed in ace Rajini style - ‘Sivaji’ has all ingredients of a typical Rajini movie. Shriya’s innocent looks, Rahman’s metallic music, Thotta Tharani’s magnificent sets and Rajini’s stupendous acting – ‘Sivaji’ is Rajini’s best!
While ‘Chandramukhi’ entered silently, ‘Sivaji’ comes with a bang. No wonder its effect is thunderous. The story is simple yet unique.
Sivaji Arumugam is a NRI from USA returning to India with a lot of ideas for the upliftment of the poor and the downtrodden. He wishes to build a remarkable educational institute which would cater to poor students and offer plenty of employment opportunities. And he has about 200 crores to fulfill his plans. As Sivaji is an honest citizen, he goes through all the rigmaroles of the Government to build his dream university. He encounters lots of difficulties and hardships. He is forced to pledge his house, sell all his property and give away almost everything. Finally when all his plans are about to be fulfilled, things change drastically. Every plan goes awry. Adiseshaiah (Suman) the villain enters with his evil ways. Sivaji is left in the streets with nothing but a one rupee coin. How he conquers Suman with just that one rupee coin, how he takes revenge on him and how seizes all his property forms the rest of the story.
After the intermission, the story takes on a racy pace. The fun-loving, mirth-making Sivaji of the first half becomes the Boss in the second half. Sivaji avenges all his enemies and emerges as the real Boss. How he out beats the villain and manages to get 400 crores and more for his university in his heroic style is legendary.
Sivaji fails in every attempt, but his one rupee coin saves him from doom. His every movement is closely monitored by the Government. At every step, he meets with danger. But he survives and comes out triumphantly.
Sivaji’s love is Tamilselvi, a beautiful Tamil girl ingrained with the culture of the region. Though she is of a reserved nature, Sivaji convinces her to be his and ultimately wins her hand. Vivek is remarkable with his slapstick humor and ridicule. Throughout, he acts as a trustworthy friend of Rajini.
Rajini is back in the movie with a new look. The look reminds us of the hero of ‘Basha’ or ‘Murattu Kaalai’. He looks zestful, fresh and energetic. Shankar, Rajini and the crew certainly deserve a good round of applause. Action, music, romance and fun- the movie has it all. In short, Sivaji is simply mind-blowing.
Whether Sivaji dies or whether he plays dual roles or whether he marries Shriya - watch the movie to know about all this. |
